About this scholarship

Graduating high school seniors or college students who live in Sarasota or Manatee County, Florida, and have at least one parent of Polish descent may apply. A minimum 3.5 GPA is required.

Award amounts vary. Submit a completed application, recent transcript, resume covering family background and goals, and an essay of at least 300 words on an approved Polish-culture topic. Finalists must complete an in-person interview showing basic knowledge of Poland's geography, history, literature, and notable figures.

Sponsored by the Polish-American Association of Sarasota, the program promotes knowledge of Polish culture among students of Polish descent.
