Plein Environmental Scholarship

Graduating high school seniors set to attend Northern Virginia Community College, or current NVCC students, who need financial assistance and plan to complete an associate degree at NVCC before transferring to a four-year university for an environmental-related bachelor's degree.

Up to three non-renewable $5,000 scholarships are awarded per academic year (paid over two semesters). Eligible fields include Environmental Science, Conservation, Environmental Studies, Forestry, and related majors.

Apply with a short written statement demonstrating financial need and an essay on why you want to pursue an environmental field and how you hope to use the degree.
