About this scholarship
You must be registered or accepted into a full-time doctoral program in year one or two. Your field should relate broadly to the humanities and social sciences (or human sciences) and be relevant to Canada's future, and your doctoral work must connect to at least one Foundation theme: Human Rights and Dignity, Responsible Citizenship, Canada and the World, or People and their Natural Environment. Eligible applicants are Canadian citizens studying at a Canadian or foreign institution, or permanent residents or foreign nationals enrolled in a doctoral program at a Canadian institution.
Fifteen scholars are selected for a three-year program providing up to $50,000 per year for tuition and living expenses plus up to $20,000 per year for research travel, networking, and Foundation events.
The scholarship builds a community of researchers across disciplines who want to connect academic work with public life in Canada and beyond.
