Phyllis Weston English Scholarship

Canadian citizens or permanent residents who are Alberta residents, attended their final year of high school in Calgary, and are full-time students at the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, or University of Lethbridge entering the final year of an Education degree with an English specialization and planning to become a high school English teacher. Applicants need good academic standing and one letter of reference.

One external award of approximately $1,500 applied directly to tuition. Apply online through the Calgary Foundation (forms typically available from the end of January; deadline June 1).

Established in memory of Phyllis Weston, who taught for 40 years in Calgary public schools.
