About this scholarship
McGill Faculty of Education B.Ed. and MATL students in FE3 or IN2 field experience are eligible for the Phyllis Shapiro Award when nominated by a Field Supervisor or Cooperating Teacher. Students cannot nominate themselves. Value varies.
The Faculty of Education's Committee on Student Affairs grants the award to recognize excellence in teaching during the practicum. Nominees need strong evaluations, achievements beyond regular classroom duties, and a personal statement plus nomination letters from their supervisor and cooperating teacher. The nomination deadline is one week after the placement ends.
