Phil Lind Fellowship in Journalism for IBPOC Students

First Nations, Inuit, or Métis students of Canada and/or domestic students who identify as Black and/or as a Person of Colour entering the UBC Vancouver Master of Journalism program may be nominated for this fellowship.

Fellowships totalling $48,000 come from an endowment established by Rogers Communications Inc. in memory of Philip B. Lind, CM (1943-2023). No separate application is required; the School of Journalism, Writing and Media makes recommendations in consultation with the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies.

Phil Lind joined Rogers Communications in 1969, founded CPAC, and was appointed to the Order of Canada in 2002.
