About this scholarship
Alberta residents (12 consecutive months before program start) who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons, have applied for or enrolled in a designated full-time four-year Doctor of Pharmacy program, are not in default of a provincial student loan, and agree to live and work in northern Alberta after graduation under a return of service agreement (one year of full-time work per bursary year).
A non-repayable return of service bursary of $7,000 per year (or up to $14,000 per year through the Bursary Partnership Program) for up to four years. Apply between January 2 and May 15 through a verified Alberta.ca account with transcripts and optional resume; the application includes essay questions. Students may receive only one of the Northern Alberta Development, First Nations Métis and Inuit, or Bursary Partnership bursary types per academic year.
