About this scholarship

Alberta residents who are Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons may apply. Undergraduate students must be registered full or part time at an approved post-secondary institution in Alberta. Graduate students may study in Alberta or elsewhere if they meet Alberta residency rules. Applicants must already be enrolled and attending; high school students and short-term continuing education courses are not eligible. The scholarship supports students in arts, humanities, or social sciences whose work advances gender equality, or who study in fields where their gender is underrepresented or disadvantaged.

Forty students receive $2,500 each ($100,000 total). Priority goes to applicants who have not previously received the Persons Case Scholarship.

You may also apply to related Alberta gender-equity scholarships, but you cannot receive more than one of them in the same calendar year.
