Penny Kanner Dissertation Research Fellowship

UCLA doctoral students registered during the application quarter and fall 2026 may apply for dissertation research on women or gender topics that use historical materials and methods. CA Dream Act-eligible students may apply.

One $15,000 fellowship is awarded. Submit a dissertation abstract or proposal (maximum 5 pages), CV, unofficial UCLA transcript, and one faculty recommendation letter with the application.
