About this scholarship

Full-time Master's or doctoral students at York University returning to university from a work or family career may apply if they are pursuing interdisciplinary studies or interdisciplinary fields such as education, social work, or women's studies. Preference is given to those whose studies focus on women's studies, and to first-year students (continuing students may be considered if there are no suitable incoming candidates). Applicants must be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons and Ontario residents, demonstrate financial need, and have a GPA of A or higher in the last two years of full-time studies.

Up to three awards of $6,100 each are available (subject to change). The award is non-renewable.

Apply through the Financial Aid, Awards and Scholarships (FAAS) system and complete the online Student Financial Profile. Submit a personal statement, CV, transcript for the most recent two years of study, and any supporting documents showing academic excellence, engagement with interdisciplinary fields (especially women's studies), and what motivated a return to postgraduate study.
