PAVE Essay Contest and Scholarship Program

Michigan high school juniors and seniors enrolled at a school in the state may enter by writing an essay of 1,000 words or fewer on autonomous vehicle technology and its community impact. Immediate family of PAVE staff, member organizations, sponsors, or the selection committee are ineligible.

Scholarship funding is awarded to the top three essays. Amount varies by placement.

Choose one of three provided prompts, complete the entry form with your essay text, and submit by the posted deadline. Essays are screened for AI-generated content and should avoid naming specific companies or brands.

PAVE promotes public understanding of autonomous vehicle technology through student writing.
