About this scholarship
Open to full-time students at a Canadian university in the second, third, or fourth year of a Bachelor of Economics degree, or in the first or second year of a Master of Economics or MBA program, who demonstrate an interest in mineral economics or mining commerce through current or intended coursework.
One scholarship of $5,000 is awarded each year by the Mining Association of Canada. Applicants are considered on academic achievement and their commitment to a career in Canada's mining industry.
Submit a professor referral letter (economics and/or mining), a short essay of 500 words or less on your vision for the future of Canada's mining industry, a resume, and an official sealed transcript to dmacvicar@mining.ca by May 15.
The scholarship was created in 2012 in memory of Paul Stothart, MAC's former Vice President of Economic Affairs.
