Paul DeMartinis Scholarship

The Paul DeMartinis Scholarship is awarded by the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society (PBATS) in memory of Paul DeMartinis, former Director of Sales and Marketing for Medco Sports Medicine and a longtime friend of the athletic training community. One $2,000 scholarship is awarded each year, with payment made by the PBATS Treasurer directly to a college or university offering an accredited athletic training program.

Students enrolled in a professional program, post-professional degree program, or post-professional residency program (or their equivalent) accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education are eligible to apply. All applicants must be able to speak and write in English. Members of PBATS and their immediate families are ineligible.

Applications run annually with an October 15 deadline, and winners are notified by email by December 1. The 2025 cycle closed October 15, 2025.
