About this scholarship
Outstanding undergraduate students at UBC Vancouver majoring in chemistry, physics, mathematics, or computer science are eligible for these scholarships. The scholarships are funded through an endowment established by an estate gift from Dr. Margaret deMaine (1930-2022), a UBC graduate who earned a Ph.D. in radiochemistry at the University of Cambridge, and honour Dr. Paul A. D. deMaine (1924-1999), who completed a Ph.D. at UBC in 1956 and made significant contributions to computer science.
