About this scholarship
Colorado or Wyoming residents who lost a parent, guardian, caregiver, or family member to Parkinson disease, or face financial hardship from a family member living with Parkinson disease, may apply. High school seniors and GED students need a 2.5 or higher GPA; current trade or undergraduate students need a 3.0 or higher GPA.
The primary award is $5,000 per year, renewable for up to four years. Runner-ups may receive one-time awards ranging from $500 to $5,000.
Apply via the Denver Foundation Scholarship Manager with two essays of approximately 800 words each, transcript, eligibility confirmation, and one community recommendation.
This fund honors Eric Wright and supports scholars affected by Parkinson disease through the Parkinson Association of the Rockies.

- Colorado or Wyoming resident affected by Parkinson Disease (lost a family member to it, or financial hardship from an affected relative)
- Graduating high school senior, GED student, current trade student, or undergraduate planning U.S. post-secondary enrollment for fall 2026
- Minimum GPA: 2.5 cumulative unweighted for HS seniors/GED; 3.0 for trade school/undergraduate students
