About this scholarship

California residents ages 7 to 26 enrolled in a degree-granting program who demonstrate exceptional talent in arts or sports and financial need may apply. Applicants must have at least one top-three finalist award at the state, national, or international level, and family income must not exceed four times the poverty level.

Grants of up to $5,000 are awarded per recipient.

Submit the Scholar Application Form with supporting documents, including a recent tax return, by January 31. Qualified candidates may be invited for an interview and house visit in early February.
