Paavo & Aino Lukkari Award

Graduate students at York University whose research focuses on human rights and social justice issues related to Indigenous people or people of African descent in Latin America and the Caribbean may apply. Recipients must have a minimum A- average, be Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons and Ontario residents, and demonstrate financial need.

The award amount varies. One or more students may receive support depending on need, and funding may include support for fieldwork, language training, and other research requirements.
