About this scholarship
U.S. citizens age 17 or older with Norwegian and/or German heritage who are enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited U.S. college or vocational school may apply. A minimum 2.5 GPA is required. Sons of Norway membership is not required.
The award provides up to $2,000 toward undergraduate study in any field. Selection weighs academic potential, financial need, and the quality of application materials.
Apply through the Sons of Norway Foundation portal with a short autobiography, a 500-word essay, transcripts, financial need details, and two letters of recommendation. The scholarship honors Orel and Marie Winjum's commitment to education.
