Oregon Literary Fellowships

Full-time Oregon residents (at application and at award) may apply for Oregon Literary Fellowships to support literary projects in poetry, fiction, literary nonfiction, drama, or young readers literature. Students currently enrolled in a creative degree-bearing program are not eligible. Recent prior recipients, collaborative works, and AI-generated text presented as the applicant's own writing are ineligible. Literary Arts staff, trustees, and certain advisors and their immediate families cannot apply.

Award amounts vary. Standard fellowships are $4,000, and a Career Fellowship of $10,000 is also offered. Up to 13 fellowships may be awarded. Out-of-state judges review applications. Submit a writing sample and biographical statement through Literary Arts.
