About this scholarship
University of Waterloo undergraduate and graduate students directly or indirectly impacted by the conflict in Ukraine or by other conflicts may apply if they demonstrate financial need. Priority goes to students affected by the Ukrainian conflict.
Four scholarships of $10,000 are awarded to Waterloo students in each of the 2024-2025, 2025-2026, and 2026-2027 academic years.
Submit the application and required supporting documentation by the posted deadline. Graduate Studies and Postdoctoral Affairs reviews applications after the deadline and notifies applicants within about one month.
The provincial Ontario-Ukraine Solidarity Scholarship continues through 2026-2027 to support students at Ontario's publicly assisted colleges and universities.
