About this scholarship
Full-time master's or doctoral students at Toronto Metropolitan University may receive a merit-based Ontario Graduate Scholarship. Eligible applicants include Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and protected persons, plus a limited number of international students with study permits. Students must be enrolled in at least 60% of a full course load (40% or more for students with permanent disabilities).
Each OGS is valued at $15,000 for one year (two or three consecutive terms). Ontario contributes two-thirds and TMU one-third. There is a lifetime maximum of six years of OGS, and total government-funded student awards must not exceed six years.
Apply through your graduate program by its internal OGS deadline. Prospective students are considered via the admissions package plus a supplemental form; current students use the program's OGS process (tri-council materials or a separate application with two academic assessments, a CV, and transcripts).
