About this scholarship
Incoming or returning McMaster graduate students (master's or PhD) who self-identify as First Nation, Inuit, or Metis may apply for the Ontario Graduate Scholarship for Indigenous Students. Recipients need a minimum of two terms of enrolment and must also submit the Harvey E. Longboat Graduate Scholarship application through Slate.
The award is valued at $15,000 ($5,000 per term), or $10,000 if held for two terms. Selection weighs community leadership, mentorship, Indigenous education leadership, and academic achievement; priority may go to women with family responsibilities facing financial hardship.
