About this scholarship
Open to Toronto Metropolitan University students who are the first in their family to attend post-secondary studies and who demonstrate financial need.
The bursary is up to $3,500 and is offered only in the fall semester (not in winter, effective 2026, or spring/summer).
Apply through AwardSpring by completing the financial-need assessment, budget form, and first-generation declaration. Matched applicants submit a written statement of no more than 500 words on their experience as a first-generation student.
