About this scholarship
Ontario County, New York residents accepted into an associate or bachelor's program in environmental studies, agriculture, agricultural business, or waste management may apply. Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and demonstrate dedication to a career supporting the environment, agriculture, or waste management.
Eight scholarships of $2,500 are awarded each year. Funds are paid directly to the student's college bursar office.
Submit the application packet with transcripts, references, and an essay on career dedication to Cornell Cooperative Extension of Ontario County by the April 10 deadline. Selected recipients attend an award reception prior to the July Board of Supervisors meeting.

- Must be a resident of Ontario County, NY
- Must be a college-bound graduating high school senior or an undergraduate college student accepted into a registered college-level program leading to an associate or bachelor's degree in environmental
- Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a permanent resident visa at time of application
- Completed Application Form and Application Checklist
- Most current copy of high school and/or college transcripts
- For current college students: evidence the applicant is in good standing to continue at their institution
- Three letters of reference mailed to the application address
- Signed certification statement
- Do not submit double-sided material
- Funds are paid directly to the college bursar office.
- Selected recipients attend an award reception.
