About this scholarship
Full-time Dalhousie master's or doctoral students in Arts and Social Sciences, Science, Health, or Law are eligible when their research focuses on social justice (including climate and environmental justice, refugee issues, racial inequality, Indigenous rights, economic inequality, food insecurity, LGBTQ2S+ rights, human and civil rights, homelessness, labour history, or workplace safety). Applicants need a minimum GPA of 3.7 out of 4.3 based on the most recent two full years of study. Canadian and international graduate students may apply.
One renewable scholarship of $4,000 per year is offered each year, for a maximum of two years.
The award was established by Michael Lonardo in memory of Olivia Lewis, reflecting their shared commitment to social justice.
