Ohio State University Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship
Automatically considered
About this scholarship
Ohio resident incoming first-year students on Ohio State's Columbus campus who are Pell-eligible and demonstrate academic merit are automatically considered for the Land Grant Opportunity Scholarship. International freshmen are not eligible for OSU merit scholarships. About 176 Ohio students are awarded each year, with an attempt to award two students from each county.
The award covers full cost of attendance. Merit scholarships are competitive and not guaranteed, and generally cannot be combined except with the National Buckeye Scholarship.
Ohio residents who apply to the university by February 1 and file the FAFSA by February 1 are automatically considered. No separate Land Grant application is required beyond admission and FAFSA.
