About this scholarship

Rising college juniors planning full-time enrollment at an accredited U.S. institution, with a 3.0 or higher GPA, demonstrated financial need, community service experience, and commitment to a public service career may apply for the Obama-Chesky Voyager Scholarship for Public Service. Eligible students include sophomores completing their second year or transfer students entering their junior year.

One hundred students are selected annually. The two-year program provides up to $25,000 per year in last-dollar financial aid for junior and senior years, a $10,000 summer work-travel stipend with Airbnb housing, leadership programming, and a $2,000 per year Airbnb travel credit for ten years after graduation.

The Voyager Scholarship, created by President Obama and Brian Chesky, supports students who want to make positive change through public service.
