About this scholarship
Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons registered in a bachelor's program may apply for an NSERC Undergraduate Student Research Award under a UTM Biology faculty supervisor. Applicants need a satisfactory cumulative average (normally at least B-) and must meet NSERC rules for applying and holding the award.
The award is up to $7,500 for 14 to 16 consecutive weeks of full-time summer research. Students may hold one USRA per fiscal year and at most three USRAs across their undergraduate career.
Find a UTM Biology supervisor, complete the USRA and UTEA application form with your supervisor, and submit it with an unofficial ACORN transcript by the departmental deadline. Selection considers academic excellence, research potential, and training quality.
