About this scholarship

The NSCA Foundation's Student Advancement Scholarship provides $2,000 toward tuition for students pursuing an associate, undergraduate, or graduate degree in a strength and conditioning-related field, including exercise science, kinesiology, human performance, athletic training, physical therapy, physical education, and sport science. Part-time and full-time degree-seeking students are eligible, including community college students.

Applicants must be current members of the NSCA or an NSCA International Affiliate at the time of application and award; student, professional, and CPI memberships qualify. The application requires transcripts from each school attended, a current resume, essays, and three recommendations. Applicants may not have won the award twice previously, and NSCA board members, employees, and their family members are ineligible.

Applications open August 1 and close October 15 each year through the NSCA application portal.
