NROTC National Scholarship

High school students who graduate before August 1 of the year they intend to start college may apply for the Navy ROTC National Scholarship through a competitive national selection process. Applicants must be ages 17 to 23 with a high school diploma and meet physical and medical requirements.

Selected midshipmen receive full tuition at participating universities (or room and board at some schools), a books stipend, educational fees, and a monthly subsistence allowance. Upon graduation, midshipmen are commissioned as unrestricted-line Naval Reserve or Marine Corps Reserve officers.

Submit the online application by January 31. Students with 30 or more semester hours or 45 or more quarter hours of college credit are not eligible.
