Northern Illinois University Merit Scholarships

Incoming domestic freshmen and transfer students admitted to Northern Illinois University are automatically considered for renewable merit scholarships based on high school or transfer GPA. No separate scholarship application is required. Applicants should have at least a 3.0 GPA; exact GPA tiers and amounts vary.

Award amounts vary. Recipients must maintain a 2.75 GPA for renewal. Priority timing: December 1 for fall/summer freshman admission and March 1 for transfer admission (or October 1 for spring applicants).
