About this scholarship
For Canadian citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons who are Alberta residents (12 consecutive months before program start), age 18 or older, and entering their last or second-to-last year of a full-time designated post-secondary program (or a one- or two-year program). Applicants must plan to live and work in northern Alberta, sign a return-of-service agreement, not be in an apprenticeship program, and not be in default on a provincial student loan.
Up to $7,000 per year for a maximum of two years. Return of service is one year of full-time employment in the field of study for each year of support. Students must apply each year they want consideration and can receive only one Northern Alberta Development bursary type per academic year.
