About this scholarship
For Alberta residents planning to enroll full-time in a post-secondary program who agree to live and work in northern Alberta after graduation. For each year of bursary funding, the student must live and work for one year in northern Alberta, with up to six months after graduation to find related employment.
A return-of-service bursary aimed at students in their final two years of study, especially in high-demand northern fields such as education, social work, health, engineering, and technical programs. Selection considers program demand in northern Alberta, knowledge of the region, academic record, essay answers, and financial need.
