About this scholarship

U.S. citizen undergraduate STEM students enrolled full time at an accredited North Carolina college or university with a minimum 3.0 GPA may apply for a faculty-mentored research scholarship aligned with NASA mission directorates, commercial space, or the International Space Station.

Up to ten awards of $8,000 support a 12-month research period supervised by a faculty mentor, which may be conducted on campus, virtually, or at an industrial or government facility.

Submit the online application, short essays, unofficial transcripts, and a faculty recommendation by 5 p.m. ET on March 13. Awards recognize high academic achievement and research promise.
