NIU CSEAS Foreign Language and Area Studies Graduate Fellowship

U.S. citizens, nationals, or permanent residents accepted or enrolled full-time at Northern Illinois University may apply for the CSEAS academic-year FLAS fellowship to study a Southeast Asian language (Burmese, Indonesian, Khmer, Tagalog, or Thai) and area studies.

The award includes a ten-month $20,000 stipend, tuition waiver, regular fees, and health insurance.

Submit the online application, CV, transcripts, statement of purpose, and two recommendation letters by 4:30 p.m. on February 1. Fellows must take language and area-studies coursework each semester.
