About this scholarship
Children of FWAA members, student FWAA members, or children of current College Sports Communicators members may apply. Graduate students are also eligible. High school seniors can receive up to $4,000 over four years.
The scholarship pays $1,000 per year for up to four years toward higher education costs.
Request an application by emailing Alan Schmadtke at schmad09@gmail.com; applications are due March 31 annually with transcripts submitted by the student applicant.
Named for Volney Meece, longtime FWAA executive director and Oklahoma sportswriter who died in 1995.
