About this scholarship
High school and college students in central Ohio may apply through the Columbus Foundation's Universal Scholarship Application to be considered for more than 100 competitive donor scholarships. Eligibility varies by fund but most require ties to Franklin County and contiguous central Ohio counties.
Award amounts vary by matched fund; many are one-time or renewable depending on donor criteria.
One online general application due March 9, 2026 (extended from March 1) matches students to eligible named scholarships. Selection committees review in April and May with decisions in May through July.
The Columbus Foundation operates this umbrella portal as its flagship student scholarship program for the central Ohio region.
