Taiwan MOE Scholarship

US and Canadian citizens may apply for degree study at participating Taiwanese universities through their local Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO). The program supports new international students pursuing bachelor's or master's degrees who meet MOE eligibility and admission requirements.

Scholarships cover up to NT$40,000 per semester in tuition and miscellaneous fees plus a monthly living stipend of NT$15,000 for undergraduates or NT$20,000 for graduate students. Huayu language study may be funded separately under a related program.

Apply through the Taiwan Scholarship portal and submit materials to the TECO office responsible for your country of citizenship, typically during February and March each year. Bulletin updates for the 2026 academic year were posted in January 2026.

Taiwan's Ministry of Education administers the Taiwan Scholarship to attract international students to accredited universities and colleges.
