About this scholarship
Rising college students (high school seniors are ineligible) enrolled full-time in housing-related study may apply. Eligible fields include construction management, construction technology, civil engineering, architecture, design, and trade specialties at two- or four-year colleges or vocational programs. At least one full academic year must remain after the award year.
Renewable financial support varies by fund balance. Recipients must maintain a 2.5 overall GPA and 3.0 GPA in core curriculum courses or risk losing future funding.
Complete applications with two recommendation letters are due March 6 each year through the NAHB PWB/NHE portal. Preference goes to students with financial need and NAHB Student Chapter members.
Deborah and Austin Ferland established this NAHB Professional Women in Building scholarship in 2001 through the National Housing Endowment.
