About this scholarship
Women pursuing broadcast journalism who attend or plan to attend a Florida college or university may apply. Full- or part-time students need a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. Applicants cannot win both SPJ Florida college scholarships in the same year.
One annual $1,000 cash scholarship honors the late Molly Turner, a pioneering South Florida broadcast journalist.
Apply through the SPJ Florida online form with FAFSA copy, transcripts, up to 500-word essay, recommendation letter, and optional resume or work samples. The 2026 cycle listed May 4, 2026 as the deadline.
