Scotland's Saltire Scholarships

Citizens of Canada, the United States, China, India, Japan, and Pakistan may apply for one-year taught master's programmes at Scottish universities in priority sectors such as science, technology, creative industries, healthcare and medical sciences, and renewable and clean energy.

Each scholarship provides £8,000 toward tuition fees for one year of full-time postgraduate study. Up to 50 awards are typically available annually. Applicants must hold a conditional or unconditional offer from an eligible Scottish institution and not have previously studied in Scotland or received a Saltire award.

Apply through the Saltire Scholarships portal once the spring window opens; the programme is currently closed with FAQ guidance for the next cycle. Applicants must also demonstrate ability to cover remaining tuition and living costs.
