Eligibility
About this scholarship
Students of color who are U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents and enrolled in a graduate archival administration program (or applied for the next academic year) may apply. Applicants must be American Indian/Alaska Native, Asian, Black/African American, Hispanic/Latinx, Middle Eastern/North African, or Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander, and have completed no more than half their graduate credits at award time.
Up to two scholarships of $5,000 each are awarded annually, plus one-year complimentary SAA membership and annual meeting registration.
Submit a cover letter, official transcripts, a 500-word essay on archival career and diversity goals, and two online recommendation letters by February 28 each year. 2026 recipients were announced.
SAA established the Mosaic Scholarship in 2008 to diversify the archives profession.
