About this scholarship
Full-time K-12 science teachers residing in NSTA districts who use innovation and excellence in the classroom may apply. Six teachers are selected annually.
Each awardee receives $1,000 plus $1,000 toward expenses to attend the NSTA National Conference on Science Education and present at a grade-band share-a-thon.
Apply through NSTA's annual teacher awards cycle; Shell Teaching Awards share a December 18 deadline for the 2026-27 cycle.
Named for science education leader Robert E. Yager, the NSTA award recognizes creative classroom science teaching.
