R&A Ransome Scholarship

Graduate students from Canada, Mexico, and the United States entering one-year taught MLitt, MSc, MRes, or MPP programmes at St Andrews may be considered. Applicants must be nationals or domiciled residents of those countries with overseas fee status.

Three R&A Ransome Scholarships provide full tuition for one year. Selection emphasizes academic merit plus well-rounded leadership in academics, sport, music, travel, or civic activities.

Complete the St Leonard's Masters Scholarship (International) application in My Application after submitting your course application; eligible Ransome candidates are automatically considered through that shared form. The February 2026 deadline has passed.

Established in 1994 to honor Dr. Ernest L. Ransome III and support deserving North American postgraduate students at St Andrews.
