About this scholarship
U.S. citizens and permanent residents of Italian descent with at least one Italian or Italian-American grandparent may apply while enrolled full time at an accredited four-year undergraduate, graduate, or professional program.
The Sons of Italy Foundation awards 10 to 12 merit-based National Leadership Grants annually, typically ranging from $5,000 to $15,000, paid to the student's academic institution.
A $35 non-refundable fee includes a one-year at-large OSDIA membership and unlocks the online application link. Required materials include transcripts, two professional recommendation letters, and official standardized test scores from the past five years.
OSDIA is the largest Italian-American fraternal organization in the United States; the Sons of Italy Foundation has distributed tens of millions of dollars in scholarships since inception.
