About this scholarship
Master's and doctoral nursing students enrolled at AACN member institutions who plan to become nurse faculty may apply. Applicants must be members of the Graduate Nursing Student Academy (GNSA).
The scholarship awards $5,000 twice per year through 2026. It supports students preparing for academic nursing careers.
The first 2026 cycle opens May 15 and closes July 15; the second opens November 30 and closes January 31. On July 14, 2026 the summer cycle remained open.
NurseThink and AACN fund this recurring award to strengthen the pipeline of future nursing faculty.
