About this scholarship
High school graduates and undergraduates pursuing restaurant, foodservice, culinary, or hospitality degrees at accredited U.S. institutions may apply. ProStart Certificate of Achievement (COA) students are eligible for named collegiate partner awards within the program.
The foundation awards more than $1 million annually across individual scholarships; amounts vary by fund.
Apply online January 15 through March 15 each year. The 2026-27 cycle closed March 15, 2026; the next window opens January 15, 2027. Awards are notified in June with claiming through mid-August.
The National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation has awarded more than $27 million in scholarships since 1987.
