NLN Cecelia Lou Vriheas Scholarship Award

Single $6,000 scholarship for nurses in accredited master's or doctoral programs pursuing full-time nurse educator careers. Applicants must be first-generation college students and belong to a historically marginalized or excluded group (including Black, Indigenous, Native American, Pacific Islander, immigrant, or rural populations).

The award covers books, tuition, and research or project expenses. At least one academic year must be completed by the application deadline.

Apply through NLN's SurveyMonkey Apply portal during the February-May window (2026 cycle closed May 19). Required materials mirror other NLN scholarships: proposal sections, two recommendation letters, budget narrative, and biosketch.
