Next Gen Scholars Program

Applicants who have applied for full-time J.D. admission at an accredited California law school for Fall 2026, plan to practice law in California, and demonstrate financial need may apply. Current law students and part-time applicants are ineligible; out-of-state residents may apply if they commit to a California law school and California Bar practice.

Each scholar receives $50,000 total: $15,000 per year for three years of law school plus a $5,000 post-graduation bar exam preparation stipend, paid incrementally upon proof of enrollment. Scholars also join a cohort with leadership, wellness, and mentorship programming.

Applications are submitted via Submittable with transcript, resume, financial aid package, debt summary, and one recommendation; the 2026 cycle closed March 26, 2026. Two-round selection includes a finalist panel interview with awards by June.
