About this scholarship
New York State accounting majors who are residents and U.S. citizens or permanent residents may apply through the Moynihan Scholarship Fund portal. Eligible students are juniors, seniors, or graduate students in fall 2026 with at least a 3.0 GPA, demonstrated financial need, and a filed 2026-27 FAFSA. One application covers the Excellence in Accounting Scholarship plus NYCPA chapter and donor-named awards. Awards vary but reach up to $2,750 each; the 2025-26 cycle granted 62 Excellence awards and more than $136,000 total. Applications are due July 15, 2026, with free NYCPA student membership required.
